Event: Give A Man A Break Monthly Soul & Funk Party
When: Fri, Feb 3 8:00 PM – Sat, Feb 4 2:00 AM Description: Give A Man A Break is Howler’s Coyote Cafe’s only monthly soul and funk party. Taking place the LAST FRIDAY of EVERY MONTH, your host Soulful Fella as he takes you through the musical journey that is soul music. Spinning an eclectic mix of classic motown, rare soul and funk, 5T’s & 6T’s rhythm and blues, black rockers, early funk, 70′s smooth soul, 80′s steppers and modern soul icons like Sharon Jones & The Dapkings, Baby Charles, Myron & E with the Soul Investigator, Eli “Paperboy” Reed and the True Loves or Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears. Party the night away with only the best rare and classic soul, funk and r&b blended with some latin boogaloo and sweet reggae sounds. Guest Bands will also be throwing down when available and guest dj’s will be stopping by to throw down some unheard gems. Going on two years strong and a continually growing audience, Give A Man A Break is becoming Pittsburgh prier party for that swinging soul sound. As always this party is strictly vinyl and strictly good times.
