ATTENTION LOCAL TALENT!
The Bloomfield Development Corporation kicked off our first ever summer music series, “Live On Liberty,” last Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We are looking for a variety of talent to donate a couple of hours and perform on Liberty Avenue this summer.
Live On Liberty is on the second Thursday of the summer and early fall months. If you are interested, contact Terry.
We are happy that Public Works is repaving Liberty Avenue, but DON’T LET THE IMPROVEMENTS KEEP YOU FROM JOINING US THIS WEEK!!! Liberty Avenue businesses will be offering marathon specials and sidewalk sales, and the BBA is running a Best Bloomfield Meatball Contest and a Spaghetti Eating Contest. I spent a couple of days taking photos of the graffiti on Liberty Avenue and the other streets in Bloomfield, and took them to Patty at Public Works. Mark from Graffiti Busters (pictured) contacted me last week, saying he received my photos and was in the neighborhood ready to get to work.
After contacting the businesses that were tagged and providing them with a form, Mark and his crew were able to cover some of the graffiti on Liberty Avenue. There is a lot more to do, and they will be back this week. Thanks Graffiti Busters, you did a great job!
Report Graffiti to 911. If you are the property owner, download the Permission for Graffiti Removal form. If you have questions or need help with the process, you can contact me.
