Merante Gifts Event Updates
Hi everyone. I hope all is well and you are enjoying this great summer weather! Just an update or two so that you are in the know about what’s going on around here.
Father John Dinello of Immaculate Conception-Saint Joseph Parish has asked if we will cook for a fundraiser dinner at Saint Joseph Church Hall. The event will be on Sunday, August 23. We will raise money for the permanent memorial to be built by the rectory near Saint Joseph Church for the fallen officers. As you recall, Paul Sciullo, one of the officers killed on April 4 was from Bloomfield, and his mom, dad and much family still live in the neighborhood. We are so honored that Father has asked to take part in this “mission”. I hope that you will support us in this worthy cause and come and enjoy a good meal and fun company on August 23. The donation per guest is $20. I have tickets here at the shop.
Secondly, there is still space open on our New York City trip for September 11, 12 & 13. The San Gennaro Festival is sure an experience not to be missed. If you are able to join us or need details/info just reply to this post and I’ll be back in touch immediately.
Finally, our Italian Dream cooking vacation in October has almost reached its maximum number of guests. There are only three spaces available for what promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We will be in Positano, Calabria and Sicily from October 15 to 25. We’ll start cooking classes early in November after we collect a few new recipes!!!!
