Relaxing in Sausalido
Gourmet bistro Sausalido, which has previously been praised in Pop City and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, was the subject of a recent review in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. Sally A. Quinn’s article titled “Bloomfield’s Sausalido: Creative menu, relaxed atmosphere” sets the scene at Sausalido, promoting the atmosphere before tempting the reader with creative cuisine from Sausalido’s New American and European menu:
The small, 40-seat dining room has been brightened with walls painted a sand color. Track lighting and wall lamps cast a soft glow. Artwork borrowed from Heartbox Gallery offers colorful touches. Musical standards play in the background. Bare black tabletops are set with white linen napkins and live flowers.
The result is a casual, comfortable style that promotes a relaxing meal. Owner and chef work the room in between duties, chatting with diners and checking on their comfort.
